This office opened in 1895 when The Grenville Standard began publication. At one time there was evidently a canvas wall between the printing offices and the hotel, quite convenient apparently for beer to be passed through to the workers. The newspaper moved to premises in Clyde St in 1898. It is likely that this building disappeared when the hotel was renovated in 1904.
The photo on your screen is of the Grenville Standard office and staff, taken around 1896.
