Unveiled on 24 December 1939 by the Old Lintonians’ Association as part of the Linton Centenary celebrations. The original garden design was never completed. The present garden dates from 1999 and the flagpole was refurbished by the Linton Men’s Shed in 2016.
The first photo shows the memorial as it looked for many years with no garden.
The second photo shows a plan for the garden drawn in 1941 but never executed.
