Linton identity Catherine (Cassie) McBeath, born 1894, lived here from the 1950s to 1970s. She shared a love of music with her neighbour Nellie Gray. As a young girl she was a music pupil of the Misses Barry, and she also sang in the Presbyterian Church choir. Cassie’s brother Alex McBeath farmed with his wife Marjorie at Mannibadar.
