The itinerant musician August Dick (born in 1879 in Eßweiler, died in 1953 in Eßweiler) lived in this musician’s house. He traveled to America, Sweden, Norway, Russia, and the Netherlands. This house features a beautiful musician’s gable. These gables were typical of houses where traveling musicians lived. These musicians brought motifs from all over the world to decorate their homes. The window cornices on this house, which look like scallop shells, are unique.
