The Argyle Hotel, run by German immigrant and Eureka Rebellion survivor Conrad Zilles, was also on this corner from 1872, but in 1882 it burnt down.

Turn around here and proceed north up the Linton-Naringhil Road towards the Glenelg Highway again.
