25 Cumberland St – former house of Kennedy family, 'Kinkora'

This house was built around 1904/06 for Thomas Kennedy who was police constable in Linton from about 1865, and later a Grenville Shire Councillor, Justice of the Peace and grazier.

Subsequently, his son, Henry Grattan Kennedy, who became Shire President in the 1930s, lived here with his family. Younger family members from the family property ‘Fingal Park’ (at Pittong) apparently stayed here during the school week.
