The Audio Walk takes place along the river path in Weimar’s Ilm Park and overlays its natural soundscape with Istanbul’s unpredictable ambience, as if two different worlds are clashing with one another. The river mirrors the flow of one’s stream of consciousness and the conflict between the two soundscapes becomes more than a meeting of locations. It begins to explore ideas of resistance to change, fear of the unfamiliar, alienation, and the possibility of merging with a stranger.
