1. Introduction
Kia Ora and welcome to the audio walk Wairepo Wetland Stories. My name is Nora Hansen and I am a musician from Leipzig, Germany. You will accompany me on a walk through Sonja and Sen’s wetland.
Before we start, please note that this walk takes place on private property, and you can only participate with the permission of Sonja and Sen. If you’d like to join, please send an email to wairepo@pixelsix.net to request permission.
To ensure a smooth experience, we recommend downloading the entire tour before you begin. This will prevent any delays or interruptions while playing the audio files. For the best sound quality use headphones and hold your phone in front of you, with the screen pointing straight ahead. During the walk, I will let you know where to go. Please make sure to stop at the stations marked with pink ribbons and wait for further instructions. If you’re unsure about your location, you can always refer to the app, which will display the correct route on a map.
The walk itself is relatively short, so take your time to look around, listen and observe.
Now, please sit on the entrance steps of the house to start the walk. The first listening station is there. If someone is already sitting there, please wait until the steps are free.
