Kerkhoff House

The Kerkhoff House is one of Rostock’s best-known architectural monuments. It is named after its builder, a former Rostock mayor named Bartolt Kerkhoff. It was built around 1470 as a Gothic residential house and symbolised the wealth of its former owners.

Today it houses the city archives and registry office.
